Today we celebrate German Unity Day!

While Germans have existed since the Bronze Age, building a common form of government has never been a big strength of us. So, on this day, we celebrate our latest reunification – the Anschluss of East Germany into West Germany! And of course, we dream of what the future holds... (looking at you, Austria).

Therefore, on German Unity Day, all the German regions forget about their fierce hatred for each other for one day. They come together and drink lots of beer to drown their sorrow of not being able to wörk because it's a holiday. And what place is better for that than the still-ongoing Oktoberfest?
