1/2 game just rolled up to the table and sit left of the big stack. He has 5x second place at least.
We start to play and I fold a suited (hearts) garbage hand pre. The flop comes with 2 hearts. Gets down to heads up with big stack and one other. Turn comes blank, river heart.
Big stack bets big. Other guy tanks. Without the other guy saying or doing anything to make big stack think he called, big stack announces “ace high flush” and turn his cards up (only showing the ace of hearts, the other card was underneath) however, as he was flipping over the cards, they separated enough for me to see the bottom card was black.
He then covers his cards and flips them back over. “Oh my gosh, I thought he called”
Other guy tanks a bit more then folds.
I know never to trust people at the table, these angles just keep getting shadier.
