I play poker with a small group of friends, blinds are usually .25/.50 with a $25 buy in. Iāve been losing a lot recently and been thinking about expanding my strategy.
I play probably 70% of hands (mostly limping) as we most always do. A couple of bad beats at this buy in amount will surely put you out of your stack. Any advice on pre-flop raising in various positions? Iāve seen a lot of pre-flop raising charts but I donāt see myself betting a lot of money in position even with some suited connectors or high card mid card if I donāt hit the flop.
See this is a problem I have. Iāve looked over these PreFlop raising charts but most of them apply to when people FOLD to you, not exactly limp to you. I feel like that position should be even tighter than these raising charts because most of the time they will limp call that too and itās just now a ābigger potā. Say Iām in button position and I have something like Ace 10 suited. If I just bomb the flop thereās a good chance I just fold especially if lots of others are still in.

Sorry, my bad. Iāve played roughly 15-20 2-3 hour sessions of poker at this point. Iāve had my ups and downs, but mostly feel like my gameplay is rooted in complete luck. I know itās āgamblingā and itās supposed to be luck, and I know that I shouldnāt be limping but if no one else is pre flop aggressive raising all but 1 in 10 hands why wouldnāt I? Wouldnāt that boil down to implied odds anyway to see most flops if you have a 9/10 chance that youāre not getting raised with the group I play with? Going hella ape and raising 1.5-3 $ every time I have 2 face cards or somewhat in position seems like itāll just get a call anyway and Iāll bomb the flop. I think these are common ideas most beginners struggle with anyway
