Last night the hand that knocked me out of a tourney made me smile rather than tilt.

6 players left, villain is a guy I have a long history with. I like playing with him and we “get” each other a lot.

Late in the tourney, stacks aren’t huge.

Hero looks down at 99

Folds to hero who shoves, villain calls from bb and shows QQ. I smile and do the usual stand up from my seat thing we all do.

Flop comes QTJ

I see trips and begin laughing and shaking my head

Turn is a 8 giving me a straight and the table does it’s usual yelling cheering and gasping.

River is a 10 Villain wins with a full house.

I can only smile and shake his hand.
