I’m play home games with my friends every week. They play loose with 70-80% range and rarely raise preflop. The tip I always hear is to play tighter and understand the importance of position.
I don’t know where I go from there though. My strategy feels like a single player game. I wait for a decent hand then hopefully I hit something strong.
I don’t know how to “read” my opponent or put them on a range of what they could have. I don’t know what information to gather from players checking or betting. I don’t know what factors to consider for every action. The best player recognizes I play tight and does factor in if I check or whatever.
