Dealers in Home Game
Post Body

How much do professional dealers expect to take home (hourly) for a legal, non-raked home game? From my understanding, in poker rooms the take home is usually something like $35-$60/hour. I'm running a 5/5/10 PLO home game that plays relatively small, and I'm wondering how much I would need to guarantee the dealer to make it worth their while.

Some players are a little stingy with tips, and I'm trying to correct that.

One dealer I talked to said they'd need $100/player plus tips to make it worth it, and that seemed absolutely ridiculous for 8-10 hours (probably looking like $1200-$1500 for the evening). I was thinking about killing the $1 chips and only letting people tip in $5s, but that's a big jump.

I understand even with a legal game there's more risk involved, but I'm trying to find the balance.
