Played a hand that I want some advice on, would appreciate any insight.
4 players limp to Hero ($250) in BB who looks down at 10s 2c. Hero checks his option. Pot: $10
Flop: Qs 10d 2s
Checks to UTG 1 who bets $5. The button (villain, $400 behind) raises to $20. Hero 4 bets to $60. UTG 1 folds, villain snap calls. Pot: $135
This may have been my first mistake. My thought process at the time was as follows: I’m blocking pocket 2s, 10s, and Q10 which are the primary hands beating my weak 2 pair. Ruling out QQ as this villain would have raised it pre after sitting with him for a while. I think it’s much more likely that villain is raising here with a drawing hand (flush or straight draw). Don’t hate my raise but not sure it’s best.
Turn: 4h
Hero bets $120 (leaves me $70 behind). Villain doesn’t think and again snap calls the bet. Pot: $375
I think probably I should just jam with this much behind. Prices me in to call off on bad rivers so I think my second mistake was not jamming that brick turn with so little behind.
River: 8h
Hero goes all in for last $70, villain slow rolls, calls, showing J9cc for the rivered nuts.
Looking for general advice here, I know I played some of this hand incredibly wrong but curious on people’s thoughts. Thanks in advance.
