I'm one of the people who didn't side-load the APK, and thus is way behind, and also lives in an area that is basically a Pokemon desert. As such, I'm way underpowered.

Today was the first time I encountered a gym that was anything close to my level, with a single 600 CP Pokemon guarding it to go up against with my 350-375 CP Pokemon. Said gym was held currently by Team Instinct.

So, a car pulls up, two guys ask "Hey, what team are you on?" I note that I'm on Mystic, they say they're on Instinct. Great.

"Hey, I've never actually managed to take a gym. You guys mind letting me take this one, and you can retake it in a few minutes?"

"Nahh, fuck you, bro."

And they proceed to drop down several 1500-2000 CP Pokemon.
