Hey Trainers!
So I am curious about the science behind GAP and why it is such an amazing place to catch Pokemon. I was told the following, but I am not sure how much of it is true.
- The more players, especially higher level players in an area, the more pokemon and rarer pokemon spawn.
- Central Park has been designed in the game to have a lot of diverse pokemon, the lures increase their draw to GAP.
- GAP itself was designed to be an area with a vast diversity of pokemon.
I am starting to lean towards the idea that Niantic designed CP and GAP to be a diverse pokemon area and the lures just amplify the number of pokemon in the area. Why? Because even when 100 players are in Union Square, for a meetup for example, you barely get the diversity and number of pokemon that youwould get in GAP.
Does anyone else know?
