Stufful CD is about to end for me and while I’m resting and charging my phone, I’ll share my insight of this event.

So we are back to the old days of 3 hours CD. I’m not going to talk about the bads of going back to 3 hours as it has been discussed way too many already. But seriously Niantic, this is a dumb decision on the pretext of “community play”. And worse, you are skewing the participation data with the Twitter competition, blogpost and daily sponsored gift.

Enough of that, let’s talk about the CD. Spawn-wise and shiny rate is the same just as any CD. Stufful has a small catch circle to get the excellent throw but eventually muscle memory might kicks in.

I can’t say about any increase radius since I’m playing at a park with stops all nearby to one another. And I barely went out of the periphery of any stops range because trying take advantage of the quadruple XP.

Could you not use confetti ever again please Niantic? It lags the game and putting a timer in the stop would be better to indicate when the bonus is active. Another dumb move again Niantic, trying to promote exploring but has the bonus if you stay still at a stop.

Unfortunately for me and something I foreseen when this CD was announced, all 3 hours were weather-boosted here. It’s inevitable when its types are the 2 commonest weather condition here. I hope these next couple mirror trades will at least give me something good-ish.

This might be unpopular but I never liked afternoon hours CD. For someone who lives at the equator, 11am-2pm is a gruelling CD under harsh sunlight. 2pm-5pm is still bad and only made slightly better towards the end when temperature cools down. 4pm-7pm was my favourite CD hours because of the cool evening temperature and when it’s start to get dark, we’ll head indoor with air-conditioner to continue play or rest while doing mirror trade. That’s was the best option for me back then. But that doesn’t mean I want it remains at 3 hours, don’t you misread this Niantic.

The usual CD perks like CD pokestop research, 5 photobombs are still there as usual. There are also field researches that rewards 10/20 Stufful candies so credit is where credit is due (reluctantly giving).

In short, not a fan of the return to 3 hours CD. I hope you’ll find some enjoyment for this CD.
