Egg/Buddy distance issue still continues

This bug always seem to happen to returning players, which is kinda funny. Anyway for those who don't know: Basically I came back yesterday after quitting in November 2019, and my buddy candy and egg hatching distances won't progress at all, even though my weekly fitness status does register. I have tried everything known to man: uninstalling and reinstalling, revoking Google Fit permissions, disabling Battery Saving mode from both phone and game, rebooting the phone, clearing game cache, nothing works.
