Lets go: Make 1 excellent throw field research bug?

So I got let's go:eevee, connected my pogo accpijt to my switch account and made 3 excellent throws (1 is reqiired) then opened pogo, field research is not completed. Left pogo open, made 3 more excellent throws in let's go, still not completed. The I leave it off for about an hour, open it up and now, still not completed the field research. Any idea on how this quest works or if it is a bug which makes it impossible?
