Like most lurkers on this subreddit, I have been soaking up every tidbit of information and checking the beta sign-up page every day just in case it opens before any news release is put out. What I am curious about is if there is any indication of trainers reaching a peak like in Ingress.
For those that have not played Ingress, all gear obtainable stops at level 8. This is to keep a more level playing field for the person tat enters the game 2 years after release in an area where the other players have been on for over a year or more longer. Although other incentives exist to continue beyond level 8 in terms of badges and such, the gear never really improves.
What I am wondering is if this might be something Niantic will be implementing in PoGo to keep all parts of the game entertaining for a new player just descovering the game only to find out every gym in their area is filled with mon way above anything they could hope to defeat.
