Started playing last night , is it bad to evolve this shiny?

Just started playing last night. Avid Pokémon card collector finally gave in and downloaded Go. I love shiny Pokémon and often collect them in the games. I’m aware of the IVs being borderline terrible, but figured I should ask if there was any point to evolving him? Would it be a waste to evolve even to show off? Or is this nothing to show off at all? Thanks in advance for feed back!
