Just got back into the game

Just got back into the game recently and hadn’t checked the Reddit until today. I’m personally having a lot of fun just collecting and evolving Pokémon and doing the dumb little team rocket air balloon and poke stop battles to get cool Pokémon.
But I have been getting annoyed that I was trying to learn how to raid and it seems that it’s pointless to Learn? It seems it’s going to shit haha.
