This started as a sleep deprived stream of consciousness style train of thought. This is where I am right now:

So, if a glitch Pokemon is essentially a hole in the programming, making it technically not exist and the manifestation being the game confusedly grabbing random data to represent a nothing, then what would happen if a glitch like Missingno. tried to comprehend its existence of not existing?

It's an unprogrammed slot in the game

The game grabs data such as item data to fill it

Nothing was programmed in the Pokemon slot, so it's basically the game going, "...Huh. There's nothing here. What the fuck do I do?"

Imagine if Missingno. actually existed. The best analogue I can come up with is if it was literally a hole in reality. And the universe is trying to represent a hole. Holes don't technically exist - a hole is a description for where there is nothing. So the universe basically freaks out and goes, "Alright, it looks like the letter blue and smells like the number Batman" and essentially barfs all over itself as it tries to comprehend the existence of non existence and it pretty much just goes, "Fuck this I quit" leaving something that doesn't exist comprehending its own existence while not existing and GAH!

And then there are the corrupting effects of a glitch. How does that work if it translated to real life? If you put existence where reality doesn't exist, shouldn't it cease to exist, instead of corrupting? But yet the universe is spewing out junk to make something that doesn't exist exist while not existing so it can exist but yet it still doesn't exist so you have an existing non existence and breath

Any idea on where to go from here? I'm kind of stuck on how, with my interpretation so far, Missingno. is basically non existence existing by not existing, and that's roughly where my brain went, "No. No, fuck you, 6 in the god damned morning is too early for this shit. ANY time is too early for this shit"
