Is this normal? I’ve never played a main Pokémon game that required internet so I’m just a bit confused 😭 My Switch is saying “seeing if game can be played” and then just not letting me play until I connect. I thought maybe I just needed internet to set the game up so I got on Wi-Fi, but now I’m at the part in the game where I’ve just visited my first Pokémon center and it’s still doing the same thing.

update In case anyone else has this problem in the future: the issue was that I own multiple switches and I was playing a digital copy on a device that wasn’t set as my main switch. This forces an authentication every time you open the app, which requires internet!
