I was thinking of buying Pokémon Shield recently but I’ve been saving up having Link’s Awakening in mind instead.

Anyway my brief explanation is that I want whichever is gonna be the best bang for my buck, and from what I can tell Pokémon is gonna have the massive endgame.

I am generally a competitive gamer and enjoy competitive games, but it can lose my attention very very quickly. From what I understand old competitive Pokémon required hours of several breeds and training. I’ve definitely heard you can edit the nature and IV’s to your will as a new feature. That’s great, but how come there are still so many breeding guides? Is the breed grind still present in this game? I would imagine it would hold little value if you could always edit your Pokémon.

Someone please clarify for me. Exactly how easy is it to get into competitive Pokémon nowadays?
