OG fans - what Pokemon look drastically different from what you expected from their RBY sprite?

I was 3-4 when the original games hit America and I started watching the anime super early, but looking at the RBY sprites, some of them are so vague/strange/hard to visually decode in black and white that I was thinking, they barely tell you what the pokemon actually look like. For anyone who played RBY when it was new and saw these sprites before consuming other pokemon media, are there any of the original 151 that you remember being surprised to see the anime-style appearance of?
