I don't have a least favorite pokemon. Take your least favorite, and try and change my opinion about it.

Only galar fossils have a non rock type.

You're right, it's just much less common due to bone density.

It makes sense when the only pokemon able to make fossils are rock types. There are even Pokedex entries stating kabuto/kabutops have been found alive and unchanged for millions of years. They've been rock type the whole time. Reanimating them didn't give them the rock type. Why haven't we been able to find a thousand other types of fossils from different types of pokemon?

Also galar fossils are some of the ugliest (still creative tho) designs in the series.

Aren't fossil supposed to be rocks?

I can guarantee you they were pokemon before and not just dinosaur, plant, etcetera. Kind of like a Carnivine isn't just a plant but a Pokemon.

Mega Aerodactyl has rocks covering it's body and states that it is similar to its original form when it was covered in sharp rocks.

Wait are you telling me Luxray isn't a real cat? It's pokemon not real life. Although there may be parallels to real life there aren't any regular animals in Pokemon besides the ret conned one from the anime. There are regular plants and trees tho. I'm just not sure which fossil is a plant. Cradily is a barnacle.

Another point of parallels is that birds don't fossilize. So the bird like fossils would almost certainly have to be rock or steel type to maintain form.
