Minimum tank size for a breeding colony of Endlers?

Hey all. I've had a small group of six male Endlers, along with some Amano shrimp, in a 9 gallon for a few months now and I'm interested in switching some things up and dabbling with breeding a bit.
Is it doable to have breeding in a tank this size? I'm aware this is relatively small, but let's assume I find a pet shop or LFS willing to take the fry.
I'd probably look to trade three males for three females, so three of each sex.
