Ok, hear me out. Like everyone looking to start a podcast, I don't want to spend a ton of money. If it works out then I am happy to spend some cash. I am looking to have two or three people on the cast at once. From my research, I can tell using one mic is a no-no and will provide bad audio. Instead of buying a mixer and expensive equipment couldn't I get 3 USB mics and plug them into three different computers and run three different audacity programs and then get them all together? What are the pros and cons of this? I've heard of some timing issues but it's unclear if this will always be the case.
I am also considering using a program like "cast" which is typically reserved for remote podcasts but use it all in the same room.
Are any of these a decent idea?
