Hey there! I'm starting a liking pod for podcasters on Instagram. I know algorithms are frustrating and my impressions on 'new episode' posts are way lower than a picture of me with my shirt off. It's not even about likes—it's Instagram deciding to show less of my own followers the content they signed on to see (unless, of course, I pay them). As the host of a sex podcast, I've faced shadowbans just for using sex-positive hashtags that IG thinks are too sexual.

I wish it didn't matter, but as we all know, it does. So, I propose we help each other out in a really easy way. There will be a group chat (PM me) for podcasters looking to boost engagement with their podcast promo posts. When you have a new post, share the IG link in the group! But before you do, make sure to have liked & commented on at least the 5 most recent links shared before yours. That's all!

IG isn't showing your posts to as many of your followers, determining podcast promo posts with text (as most do) to be 'low-quality' content. But early engagement with a post will not just give you the engagement from the group. By boosting early engagement, it'll tell the algorithm this is a good post and show it to more of the people who actually follow you. If you got fans, you'll likely see a boost in engagement from them over time.
