I recorded an episode a few weeks ago and I'm finally getting to it now for release next week. There are two files because battery was running low in the middle and I stopped to change batteries. I've done this before multiple times and have had no issue.
The first of the two files doesn't play. It exists. After every recording, I put the file onto my computer like every other recording. One labeled A, one labeled B (the B is fine). The A file won't play, despite showing ~462MB worth of recording data. But when inputed to Audacity, there are no sound waves. When I attempt to play it in 'preview' mode on my mac, nothing plays—it looks just like a folder preview. When I try to play it in quicktime or itunes, an error message shows up.
I tried to go back to the memory card file and play from the memory card—there's a sizeable file there, but no sound even play function. I tried playing it on my zoom and it acts like the audio length is 0:00:00 and moves to the next file.
In over 200 recordings, I've never had this particular problem. Any suggestions from the recording tech geeks? Is this file just fucked?
