Getting really turned off by Rebel FM lately
Post Body

So I've been listening to the Rebel FM podcast since they started. In the beginning, I really liked their conversational banter as well as their personal perspectives on video games. But lately it's been really frustrating me. Or, rather, Arthur has been really frustrating me. Maybe it's always been there, but I feel like he's gotten really arrogant. I can't believe I'm saying this, but he acts like a know-it-all, like he can do no wrong.

With his Titanfall 2 discussions on the podcast, it seems like he can't stop trying to tear it down, and any time anyone seems to be having fun with it, he tries to jump in and find a way to under cut that. He wrote his review for Polygon but other people reviewed it much better and that seems to be inconceivable to him. He doesn't seem to respect the difference of opinion, he seems like he has to double-down and continue to justify his perspective.

This seems to be a trend for Arthur. It's seems like any time someone disagrees with him, not only does he have to double-down, but he seems to get slightly condescending. He doesn't see it as a difference of opinion, he only sees it as "I'm right, you're wrong, here's why." I guess what I'm feeling is that this no longer feels like conversational banter between friends, but more like a soapbox for Arthur.

Sorry, this has just been bugging me for so long that I finally had to rant about it. Maybe this will fall on deaf ears; I don't even know if anyone here listens to Rebel FM.
