Is Wavelab worth buying a USB e-licenser?

I bought a Zoom H1n recorder (no relation the the conferencing platform) which comes with a "free" Wavelab access code. However, in order to download this, it looks like I will have to buy a special USB e-licenser that costs $25-30.
Does anyone here use Wavelab? Is there a way around buying this? How does Wavelab compare to Audacity, especially for using a Zoom H1n recorder?
