I have a long-running podcast with a reasonable number of listeners. My podcast partner and I don't have a dedicated space to keep equipment set up - we record the show sometimes at his work, sometimes at mine, sometimes at my house, etc.
Right now, we use a Behringer 1204 along with a Uca202 that we use as an interface for remote guests. Then we have microphones, stands, and pop filters - and if we're doing the remote thing, there's headphones and a headphone amp to deal with as well.
Setting up and tearing down all of this crap is getting old, and I'm wondering about options for making this part of the recording easier. I was thinking about switching to a Zoom H6 (smaller, but don't know how to do a mix minus on that other than using a phone), or a Rodecaster Pro (will need fewer parts, but same worry about a high quality remote connection).
I also wonder if there's a road case where I could mount the behringer that leaves enough room to keep most everything plugged in. Would be nice to connect to power, put the mics in stands, connect the mixer to my mac and go.
Anyone else solved this problem?
