Trying to build our audience, could use some tips.
Post Body

As a little background, with the podcast I co-host we're on our 3rd season. Season 1 was basically us learning how to podcast, season 2 was us nailing down what worked for us contentwise. Season 3 we finally upgraded to good gear, have our format nailed down, the works. So we took down seasons 1 and 2 from everywhere but youtube, and have gone all in on Season 3. Since its finally a product we are fully proud of, we have begun to activly promote it. As of last month we averaged 200 downloads a month, and our stated goal is to try to build it to 1k by the end of the year. I know I shouldn't focus on the numbers so much, but it is a large investment in time, and its a way to track at least some progress.

So what we have been doing: I handle the reddit side of things. I post in places that allow podcast promotion, and do routine searches to see if someone is asking for podcast reccomendations in relevant subreddits. Not spammy, only if its fully relevant. One of the other co-hosts has been posting in facebook groups, and doing a little bit of promotion on twitter. We share around on our personal facebooks/instagrams/tumblrs as warranted, without being too annoying.

And it looks like its starting to slowly pay off. So far for the month, with well over a week left and we're at 191 downloads. With two more episodes yet to come out, I think we will probably hit around 230-240, which is a big jump when your numbers are this small I think haha.

What are some avenues we should try out that we haven't so far? What are some strategies you've used that have worked? And what are some good hashtags that we likely may not be aware of to use? We've seen people recommend doing crossover type stuff with related podcasts, but we aren't really sure how best to go about that, so any experiences with that would be great to hear about as well. I know all this can be a bit much to type, so if you have some good links for me to read, please, send them my way.

Thanks for your time!
