I'm always watching these podcasters move their boom arms around with ease. They seem like they're free flowing and omnidirectional. Do these types of arms have a special name?
Every arm that I look at seems to bend just one way and swivel but you can't change the height without loosening and tightening the arm at the joints.
I'm not using the correct technical terms because I'm new at all this but I think you know what I'm looking for? What type of microphone boom is it that can easily be adjusted in any direction just by guiding it with your hand?
