I live in a very walkable neighborhood in PDX and people walk their dogs by my house constantly. I've got a large parking strip space and I put out water during the warmer months. The dogs really like this space and tend to take breaks here, even when there's no water which is encouraged and fine by me.
My question - what could I plant that the dogs might enjoy? I had a dog a few years back that LOVED rolling around in chamomile (made him smell great too) but that's the only thing I can think of to plant. Any ideas? Thinking back that dog also loved to eat my blueberries so maybe that's an option too...
Currently the space has a newly planted catalpa tree and just sparse grass and weeds. I do get tons of leaves in my yard in the fall so have to keep raking in mind. it's western facing and full sun currently (although the catalpa will add shade at some point).
