Hi everyone, I 20m 5â7â had my first SP in my left lung on Saturday. It happened at work doing nothing out of the ordinary, sharp pain in my back underneath shoulder-blade & shortness of breath.
I went and sat down as it got worse, tingling all throughout both arms as well as the pain. Called over my manager and he called the ambulance. My eyes went fuzzy and my hearing turned to static. I mustâve nearly passed out.
I thought it was a heart attack so the medics did an ECG which came back normal. After about 30 minutes of it starting, the worst of it subsided. The medics didnât know what it was but called the 24 hour clinic who told them to take me there.
Took a couple hours to finally find out what had happened. Unfortunately I donât have any of the details on the size but after two chest XRays they were happy that it wasnât increasing in size so sent me home with not a lot of information.
Now a couple days later, my lung feels less constricted and sore but I can still feel air moving around against my lung making it impossible to be in certain positions.
Do I have to just put up with this from now on? Or will the air just magically dissipate?
Should I be following up again this week with the doctor if the air doesnât dissipate anymore at all?
