All it took was a Negative performance review from boss, (which was BS/politics) to kick start my journey.
700$ and 100 hour time commitment (across 2 months) to get those three little letters on my Resume.
I will say, I do feel more confident at work. When I am speaking, I feel like I know the language of the PMP.
Yesterday someone was mad on my team that a developer didnât finish his task on time, and asked me what we should do? I told him just naturally, âwell before taking action, letâs understand the root cause. Was the estimation incorrect? Was the acceptance criteria wrong? Did any risk turn to issues? Letâs first assess and review and then make a decision.
They said âdude thatâs pretty smart. Yea letâs do thatâ
And I was like âwhere the fuck did that PMP response just come out of my mouth like thatâ I felt like David M himself!
