All it took was a Negative performance review from boss, (which was BS/politics) to kick start my journey.

700$ and 100 hour time commitment (across 2 months) to get those three little letters on my Resume.

I will say, I do feel more confident at work. When I am speaking, I feel like I know the language of the PMP.

Yesterday someone was mad on my team that a developer didn’t finish his task on time, and asked me what we should do? I told him just naturally, “well before taking action, let’s understand the root cause. Was the estimation incorrect? Was the acceptance criteria wrong? Did any risk turn to issues? Let’s first assess and review and then make a decision.

They said “dude that’s pretty smart. Yea let’s do that”

And I was like “where the fuck did that PMP response just come out of my mouth like that” I felt like David M himself!
