Test score Above Target on all categories AT/AT/AT

Wished I did; 1) stop listening to everyone say it was sooooo hard. I think this exam is hyped up more than it should be. Did I have to study? Yes, but nothing more than an hour or so each day a month. 2) Stopped thinking about memorization and understanding everything. I took the course in Dec 2022 and didn't sit because of being overwhelmed with the book size and feeling I had to read it all.

These two things above prevented me from being motivated to take the exam earlier.

What I did in the last month to fix my own motivation 1) I purchased Andrew R's Udemy to listen to the concepts, overall exam material on 2x to hurry through 35 hours of material. If you know and work in project management, Andrew's mindset is when I started truly excelling in Study hall with 95% correct on quizzes, 76 & 84 on mock exams. Edited to add: I didn't need 35 hours so didn't need all his videos (ex didn't need the how to apply, what the exam format was, didn't need all the predictive as I work in predictive). However, mentioned 35 hours is to be clear for those soon to take the test to identify the proper resources and expectations of your application. Therefore, do budget your time as needed and may require to to do more than an hour or so a day. 2) Listened to David M's Agile and Predictive videos at 2x to hurry through how to eliminate answers. Edited: I did not need to listen to the full videos of either to get this skill down 3) I ditched my normal style of studying and having to read every detail in the book and purchased Third Rocks PMP notes -150 pages. I know it sounds like a drag, but the books are over 1000 combined so this was easy. Third rocks format is straightforward and easy to use. The down side you are not able to highlight or edit. 4) Purchased study hall and practice everyday for a month to get in the groove for testing. I did the quizzes and mini exams 2-3 times each/repeated. The test isn't word for word, but if you do them via study hall, there really isn't much more PMI can ask you. The exam was shorter straight to the point questions without the fluff, but format and question type exactly like study hall. Edited to add: My goal on these was to read and answer as fast as I could. During repetition, I would read partial sentence and know the answer and why - this allowed me to spit out the answer when seeing key words in questions. This therefore, speed up the quiz process time. I also utilized this strategy during the test.

The exam is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. Remove the fear of that to establish easier studying for yourself. Good luck!

I also would discouraged people feeling like they need a $2000 course - when I did it in 2022, it overwhelmed me with the pace and having to be focused for 8 hours in a training session. Udemy - self pace was more effective and allows to to go back to sessions as my $2000 course wasn't able to be recorded.

Edited to add: as a user kindly pointed out; with Andrew's course I didn't need to do the entire course as I already had my 35 hours from 2 years ago. I skipped several. Therefore, this cut hours off my course time.
