PASSED my PMP exam ATX3.
I have a full time business, two kids, and my wife works a full time job as well. If I can get this done so can you. Here's a little guide about what worked for me:
Study Materials:
1) AT Course on Udemy
2) 200 Agile questions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNIHysh2ZW4
3) Study Hall PMI Practice Questions and Exams.
4) Rita's Process Game
5) Mindset training: AT mindset tips, David's 200 agile questions, and reading up on Reditt. Do this and your brain will be optimized to crush the exam.
Most Useful Study Tip: OWN YOUR MORNING
I was initially disrupted by a whole bunch of things - work, kids etc. This is the routine that worked for me and dramatically sped up my progress.
530AM: Wake up and play a PMP video on your TV while you relax, eat your breakfast and drink coffee.
615AM: Drive to the gym and let the PMP videos continue to play
630AM: Walk on a tredmill for 10 mins while still listening to PMP
645AM: Shut down the PMP stuff, crank up the music, and have yourself an awesome workout!
730AM: Drive home and listen to some more PMP video
745AM: Shower. Breakfast x2. Eat while you do 10 to 15 practice questions.
830AM: Done. Get on with your job.
Now, no matter what happens the rest of the day - job, kids, just not feeling well, whatever - you have already achieved 2 hours of PMP Studying, eaten two clean meals, and gotten your workout in. WIN! Nobdy can take that away from you, no matter what.
Rest of the day: Depending on where you are in your prep, throughout the day, I would introduce a couple of bite sized 15 minute study sessions that were either reading the presentation slides, watching or listening to a video OR doing practice questions. Aim for 1 or 2 of these every day. They add up, trust me. Typically, at least one of these would be a listening session conducted while I walked outside to get a break from it all.
Now, if you are like me, watching videos endlessly gets boring. I found a way around this by doing something else that I enjoyed such as eating a good breakfast, going to the gym, or standing up and walking in my living room while watching the video on my TV. Do whatever makes you feel energized.
PHASE 1: Complete 35 hours and learn the basics
Here's how I did it:

Read the PDF Presentation slides first. Then watch the videos. Then do the quizzes and take notes.
Once I was done with the AT Course, I had a basic understanding, but I was nowhere near ready to give the exam. I'm the kind of person who learns really well through interactive Q&A. As a result, I switched to Phase 2.
PHASE 2: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
This is what I did, in chronological order:
1) AT Practice Exam
2) Study Hall Practice Questions. They give you the answer immediately which is helpful.
3) Study Hall Practice Exams x5.
A couple of tips for Study Hall:
- Download the app on your phone. You can pause exams anytime you want to and that makes it really easy to work on this anytime you get a moment. I did questions while eating food, relaxing in bed, on the couch, and even in my car. Make progress and move the needle.
- Filter your answers by difficulty and move from Easy to Difficult. IGNORE the expert questions. Those are ridiculous and nobody gets them right. You should at least be scoring 90% on the Moderate and 60% on the Difficult questions.
- Review the answers in detail and try to understand why an answer has been chosen.
- Always eliminate wrong answers first. This will dramatically increase your odds of success and reduce the prospect for
PHASE 3: MINDSET

Listen to AT's mindset videos and honestly, read up about mindset on Reditt. There's a lot of great information over here.
Now get to work and CRUSH that PMP exam!!
