I find that whenever I apply mindfulness or awareness techniques while PMO'ing, I find it to be an extremely frustrating process, and attribute most (if not all) pleasure to the relief of the frustration generated by porn. I find it to be not as pleasurable as I thought and consider quitting.
But then I think, "it's fun if I don't think about it too much, so why don't we forget about being aware of ourselves and just enjoy it?" and it kind of "works" in the sense that if I let myself lose myself into the act, I do find it pleasurable again.
Any advice or explanations or perspective would be appreciated, preferably detailed.
