I'm going through the gamer paradox (if such a thing exists)

Post Body

I've been playing video games for several years now. I have a great time with multiplayer modes as long as I play with my friends, but the solo gaming is fading, and I hate the feeling.

There are many games to play, but nothing seems to satisfy my "gaming needs." I know what I don't like in a game, but even then, I don't know what I want either. I only know that as I grow older (M37), I often feel that disconnection. I've installed and tried a bunch of games and ended up uninstalling after minutes of playing. The only game that got me hooked and excited was Returnal; once it was over, I was again looking for that something.

I don't wanna think that my all-time hobby is dying and all that's left is only multiplayer.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
