Hello hello, so I've manage to scrounge up my savings to finally get a ps5 (Hurray) but I now get to have the decision of which version I should get.
I would've gotten the ps5 fat version becauae of the sale that came up a month ago, I couldn't get to buy 1 at the time since they sold out quickly where I'm at, so I had to save a bit more to buy an original price of one, so now came the question of which should I pick and would I regret picking that version?
So we all know the fat's pros and cons, the pro's: being it has a better temperature control, it has its own and better stand, and it has more accessories already available for purchase. Then there's the cons: it's too big and the storage space will only just have 600 GB.
And with the slim, the pros: it has bigger storage space giving me 800 gb to start with, smaller and lighter compared to fat, and I could remove/add the disk drive if I so wanted to. While the cons: I've heard it gets more hotter, the grills are wider risking foreign materials sneaking in, the disappointing "stand" it's included with, and there's no accessories available yet.
I know that the accessories bit are substantial at best since they'll be available in the future so that's not a problem, the glossy plate is just something I don't want to see scratches on. Their performance are one to one so there's not much difference other than nuances whether I want or don't want, but the biggest of all of them are storage space and heat problems...
And no, the nvme m.2 ssd I'll at some point get in the future, that's just unrelated as I just want to buy something worth my money and I won't regret in the future.
