Post Body

Backstory: I'm a fairly new player at rust, about 700hrs into the game. I typically play with 1 to 6 members, we play on a weekly 3x server.

Main view> Since i have started playing Rust, i have picked up on alot of behavioural patterns in the game.

Examples: "Dead server" "why you roof camp!?!" "Thanks for the loot loser" any many others.

Back to main view> I cant help but notice Rust is a incredibly toxic community. I fear even witing this post that it will not be looked at as a discussion but where people come to attack. Its seems to be the nature of the community to make you hate the game and feel as bad as possible. The game "rust" being a unsually fun but pubishing game keeps bringing players back.

(This is just my opinion ^ not factual just what ive experienced)

Question> Why is the community so toxic? global chat is not used for anything but trolling and toxic banter.if you'r proximity chat is on you hear more racial slurrs and comments than you would attending Kkk ralley. (not that ive ever been to one just imagine the rust proximity chat would be hard to beat)

Question2> Would it ruin Rust if the community wasnt as cut throat and more helpful?

Final question?> Is this just my experience or are people experiencing similar situations?

Closing> my other members and i play a weekly 3x due to lack of time we have to play and days we can play, but even on a relaxed 3x the game still feels abusive.

Thanks for reaing all the way through. I hope it creates a friendly discussion. Also help me gain a better understanding of the game and the community as a whole. Thanks.
