Anyone else been having issues with servers and rust?

My buddy got on after like a year of no play and couldn't see any friends online to join. Today I got on and I can't find any server I was playing on and now my friend isn't visable even though I see him out of rust. I tried restarting everything. I just wanted to practice bows and flying :(
