Do you think that augmentation and cybernetic implants are the next step in human evolution?

What do you think about the idea of genetic and cybernetic enhancement? Like metal limbs, which would give enhanced strength and stamina, or a chip on your brain which would open up a lot more opportunities in life?
I personally don't like these ideas, you are sacrificing your humanity just so you could perform better, and I won't even talk about chipping, those things would definetly have killswitches.
I would consider cybernetic implants on disabled though, I think it would mean a lot to them.
