Raft Foundation Extensions Disabled?

Playing on official NoTame, two people have reported that extending foundations on a raft does not work anymore. Have not tried it myself since the reports, but if that did get disabled, I'm a little disappointed because I was about to start working on my masterpiece ship for my motorboat. I did not see this in the patch notes, so did I miss something? Was this a stealth fix, or is there still a way to extend the raft structure base?
