For background I've been going to BioLife for the past 5 months. My last two experiences have been a bit different.
So normally, each cycle I've been able to donate about 60ml to 70ml. The machine has read that my limit was between 892 and 901ml. Two sessions ago, I noticed after about the first 2 cycles I was pumping about 40 to 50ml per cycle. They ended it at about 780ml, and said I had gone through the entire bag of anti coagulant. They mentioned that I may have been dehydrated. I thought that was weird, as I made sure to hydrate well. But I still got paid, all good.
Two weeks later, yesterday, the same thing occurred. I had hydrated well, at least I think I did, for the past two days. I was only pumping around 40 ml per cycle.
Any idea what could cause this? Could it be anything other than hydration? Also, what is your "pre-game" routine to stay hydrated?
