So one of my orchids isn’t doing too well. I dug it up and found out it had a lot of wet moss clumped to it’s roots. The other orchid I have in the same glass display is doing fine, but it didn’t have the moss around it’s roots. I’ve dug them both up, pruned the dead roots with sterilized scissors, used cinnamon to prevent rot (or in the case of the sickly orchid, hopefully to stop the existing rot) and placed them back in the same pot of woody orchid potting mix. I kept the moss and spread it over top so hopefully it won’t soak the roots anymore and will keep them properly moist. Anything else I can do? I water them with a mister every other day, but since they’re quite wet I was thinking of holding off on watering for a while.
