I need help with my mullein plant

I was successful with my mullein at first but then today I couldn’t see the plant I thought it died but it didn’t it was extremely dry and small so it shrank I don’t know what I did wrong it was under the sun (I live in an apartment so it’s indoors next to a window) and I watered it every three days but today it looked so dull can anyone help me out
