Spring has sprung! I am pretty immobile currently due to my crumbling spine, waiting for surgery in a few days. Though the pain sucks, it has forced me to slow down and smell the flowers, so to speak. I spend a lot of time sitting on the deck watching the birds and squirrels. The cardinals land on this tree and contrast the yellow flowers so beautifully. This handsome woodpecker also started coming to say hello yesterday and pick up some peanuts. Iโve never noticed a tree like this before. I am a Midwest transplant living on the East coast. Help me out friends! Iโm sure there is an app to identify it but itโs more fun to chat with you guys!
