Winter Squash plants with Crispy Leaves and Yellow Fruit
Post Body

I've run into this problem two seasons in a row now and have never been able to find an answer. So I'm in zone 7B, and my squash plants are making gorgeous happy new vines. However I'm running into issues with the fruit and older leaves.

Here are the leaves in the early stage of the issue, they turn yellow, and the edges slowly crisp up and yellow.

Here's one of my new vines, happy, happy, happy, but with a female fruit already turning yellow even though it's smaller than my fingernail.

Yellow bigger fruit.

And fully crisp-ified leaves.

Like I said, I'm in zone 7B, they're in large pots, I feed them once a month. Any advice would be great. I'd love to get some Squash solidly set before later in the season when the vine borers come out.
