Why is my aloe pale and droopy?

I used to have my aloe in my front porch where it mightve gotten 2-3 hours of sun at the most and it was bright green. Since I know aloe don't really like direct sunlight I moved it to my back porch which it's in the shade now. I only water it once a month, maybe less. Maybe it was getting the perfect shade to direct sun ratio and now it's in shock? Should I move it back?
