thoughts on the city council meeting about mask coverings?

I registered my opinion, but I got too frustrated to watch. My takeaway is masks are awesome! though, we can't enforce it so no.
I get the why bother passing symbolic laws. but this will save lives. it helps the economy. yes we can't enforce it like a speeding ticket. but more people will comply with a mask ordinance, and it'll let businesses have policies like this.
