Got my pixel buds just today, but the left earbud won't connect. It has shown up in the app briefly for a few moments showing 100% charge, but when I put it in the case it shows an orange light indicating it's charging. It won't play any audio at all, but it still manages to report firmware version and serial number to the app.

I've tried resetting them multiple times and essentially every single tip I can find online besides updating the firmware which I am about to do.

Returning them is sadly not an option since I don't live in a "supported" country

EDIT: updating firmware worked fine??! the left earbud is now running the latest firmware and for a brief moment appeared in my app with 100% charge but quickly disappeared
