Hi Everyone,
I am a noob at this. My router is with Bell Canada. They don't support Bridge mode (if that matters) and only PPPoe. I don't know what that means but it might point me in the right direction.
Initially I set everything up with the wifi on the Raspberry. I was able to successfully connect with my client device but I am unable to use the internet. I set up port forwarded on my router admin page and I have a static IP for the VPN server. I think I am almost there but I am missing something.
Also, which port do I connect my Pi4 to if I want to switch to ethernet after? Do I need to modify any configs on either bell router or the Pi once this is done? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it helps I only need to set this up so I can access my network from abroad with a travel router.
I already ran pivpn -d and everything seems to be running okay.
:::: Self check ::::
:: [OK] IP forwarding is enabled
:: [OK] Iptables MASQUERADE rule set
:: [OK] Iptables INPUT rule set
:: [OK] Iptables FORWARD rule set
:: [OK] WireGuard is running
:: [OK] WireGuard is enabled
(it will automatically start on reboot)
:: [OK] WireGuard is listening on port xxxxx/udp
